New Museum of Contemporary Art

Since I’m thinking about New York, I wanted to write about the New Museum of Contemporary Art. The museum now makes its permanent home in lower Manhattan thanks to Tokyo architects Sejima+Nishizawa/SANAA. The building design is creating a bit of buzz and as always, opinions fall on the love it or hate it side—and anywhere in between.

Regardless of where you fall on the design debate, the New Museum is a nice shot of culture in the Lower East Side. Currently featured artist are:

As a former student of the New School, I strongly urge you to visit this amazing museum in its very own freestanding, dedicate building since its inception in 1977. You won’t regret it.
