What should you do as a US Airways passenger, if you had one of these dismal Las Vegas vacations where the casinos cleaned out your clocks, and then land at Boston Logan after a bad flight experience? Ask Arthur Nicolson from Framingham, MA.

Seems he started throwing around some white powder on the plane after it landed. Course, he was arrested, and as it turns out, the powder was Dr. Scholl’s foot powder. He’s going to be charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace

And some more equally nutty airport news, also from Boston (something in the air?). Boston based Cheapflights.com (H/T to Jen Leo, LA Times) comes out with a predictor for who will win the swing states in next month’s Presidential elections based on the attractions and facilities at airports in each of the states. “Operating under the assumption that a state’s major airport is a microcosm or reflection of its voting population, there are tons of clues in airports such as entertainment choices, children’s activities, cultural exhibits or historical significance, that lead us to a strong prediction on which way that state will vote,” said Carl Schwartz, chief travel officer for Cheapflights.com. “Our travel and airport experts have culled the best information from the major airports in the swing states and predict that Barack Obama will stand in the winner’s circle in four weeks.”

Based on this ‘offbeat’ barometer, CheapFlights says that Obama will win the elections, and they award Florida, Indiana, Missouri, Nevada and Virginia to McCain, while Colorado, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Ohio and Pennsylvania to Obama.
