Britney Spears Tipping Scandal & Queen Mary Free Admission
Couple of days back, I wrote about Britney Spears’ autobiography and how she’s turning over a new leaf. But then… Oops! She did it Again. Brit-Brit shifts base from the Montage to the Peninsula hotel, and lands up in the middle of a tipping scandal.
Sometimes I feel sorry for her. I mean, everyone is just waiting for her to get back on her feet, and then they start tracking her every movement and pulling the rug off from under her feet, so they can write about another Britney Spears toxic meltdown. It’s the tabloids’ favorite pastime.
According to the NY Daily News, an employee of the Peninsula says that “She’s been really demanding. She always wants specific tables, and when someone is sitting where she wants to be, she kicks them out of their seats. And she doesn’t tip well!”
One thing I don’t understand about these nutty Hollywood celebs. When they have multi-million dollar mansions close by, why on earth would they want to stay at these papparazzi infested hotels in Los Angeles?
Speaking of celebrity mansions in Beverly Hills, apparently the recession doesn’t mean a darn thing to these La-La land prima donnas. Contracters have been working on a complete renovation of Friends star Jennifer Aniston’s $14 million mansion since 2006. The one storey 9000 plus sq ft mansion, set on half an acre, was designed by architect Hal Levitt in the early 1970s, and has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms.
And since we’re on the subject of priviliged people in California, the Queen Mary, which is one of the major tourist attractions in Long Beach, is offering free admission for a tour of the ship for Golden State residents until the end of the month. As many times as you like.
California residents must provide documentation of residency with a driver’s license (or other form of photo identification) at the box office, during normal attraction operating hours from 10am to 6pm. Parking not included.
