Want to know which are the top 10 budget romantic destinations in the U.S.? Let’s take a poll. Actually, D.K. Shifflet & Associates (www.dksa.com/) already did this. And so we have here the 10 best romantic getaways in the the United States which can be enjoyed even on a frugal budget.

The list is topped by Charleston SC, followed by Williamsburg, VA and Asheville, NC in second and third place respectively. The other seven cities in the top 10 list of budget romantic destinations include Nashville, TN; San Diego; San Francisco; Ocean City, MD; Myrtle Beach SC; Branson, MO; and Las Vegas.

It’s no big surprise that most of these destinations are coastal cities. It’s a well known fact that beaches, sunsets and the ocean breeze are all integral compenents when you’re trying to kindle and fan the dying embers of your romance and rescue it out from under the burden of the daily grind, mortgage bills, credit card payments and tuition fees for the kids.

And in fact, at some of these destinations, the beaches team up with other iconic attractions to form a kind of super-romantic getaway. Take for instance, some of the San Diego beaches like Coronado Island and the Silver Strand in Imperial Beach. One of the main reasons The Hotel Del on Coronado Island is such a world famous romantic getaway attracting celebrities and royalty alike, is that the hotel and beach are kindof like a single unit. 

So anyway, if you’re short on cash but hot on passion, now you know what to do. Take a beach-front weekend getaway in one of the cities listed above, or get drunk in Las Vegas and let it rip.
