Two hotels in Washington DC, the Carlyle Suites Hotel and it’s sister hotel Savoy Suites - are both offering a unique special - put in 5 hours of community service and they’ll slash 50% off your hotel room rate.

The package, called ‘Serve America and Stay in DC’, offers you a choice - either pay in full and the hotels will donate 50% of your room rate to a community service organization of your choice; or you can pay 50% of your hotel bill by volunteering 5 hours of community service hours of your choosing.

To receive your 50% refund, the following information must be emailed to ServeAmerica@CarlyleSuites.com no later than 90 days after your departure:

1) A verification letter on the organization’s letterhead, stating your name, the dates and number of hours of your community service performed.

2) A copy of the organization’s 501(c)3 certificate.

Only guests who have prepaid the Serve America and Stay in DC package will be eligible for a refund and the guest’s last name on the verification of community service letter must match the registered guest’s name at the Carlyle Suites Hotel.

The Serve America and Stay in DC package is available for travel from July 1st through September 7th. Minimum 2-night stay required. More details here.
